in grade school.

knew somehow that there
was an
available
attractive Italian woman
living without
a mate.
they showed up in long
shiny cars,
on motorcycles,
some were delivering milk,
or mail,
suddenly tipping
their hats,
being quite friendly, lingering
on the porch to
have a chat.
