a reason to go to Mars

do we need more prisons,

or more

mental

institutions? or both,

someplace

to protect the public

from danger,

or maybe an island somewhere

will suffice,

where

the criminals

can run free

without chains,

or doctors. no cells,

or barbed wire

to deal with.

a place

where they can be who

they want to be,

tax free,

unburdened by the norms

of a civil society.

what about Mars?
