who needs the outside world

there's a scratch

at the window. it could be

anyone

or anything.

someone is at the door,

i hear

their knuckles

rapping

against the wood.

i don't get up to see what

or who

it could be.

i've lost interest in the outside

world.

i have no desire to take

a look through

the peep hole,

at least

for now.

i may have to go to the store

later though,

i'm low on milk.
