very hot, pancakes
are sizzling
on the hoods of cars.
bacon and eggs too.
so don't we deserve ice-cream.
don't we deserve
a cold beer in
a frosted mug.
when i step outside
it almost feels like
the sun
has inched closer to
the earth,
so cheers.
