we're lucky

to live here,

to be an American.

yes,

there are problems.

the never-ending fight about

racism.

the antisemites,

the rioters

and law breakers,

the price

of eggs

and gas,

the endless disagreements

on politics,

on immigration

and wars, but

where else would you

want to live?

where else can you speak

your mind,

choose your

own path and through

hard work

and ingenuity

become rich?

where else are women

and men

of all religions

and races

treated equally?

nowhere, i believe.
