coordinating our boardwalk and street takeover

i get an email

and a few text messages from

Howie and

a bunch of friends.

they want

to gather and swarm the boardwalk

with our walkers

and wheelchairs.

cause a raucous,

some chaos and mayhem,

just like the young 

whippersnappers do each

holiday.

pass the word,

the text says.

we can do a takeover of

the streets

and stores, have our selves

a 4th of July riot.

let's show them who owns

this town.

there's a nicely curved

handicap stairway

at 23rd st.

which would make a good

starting point.

but we can only round up about

five people.

two of which have 

colonoscopy appointments

that morning.
