wonder how he kept
food
out of his long grey
beard,
how did he prevent
coffee,
or drinks from dripping
and spilling
into the bushy long
hair
that surrounded his face.
how did it
not catch fire when
he lit his pipe
or cigar?
how did he clear
the way
for a tender kiss?
mysteries abound.
