i have no patience with seeds.
to push one
beneath the soft dirt,
water it
and wait.
i'm not good
at nurturing, helping
others grow.
i've got my hands full
with me.
if i want an orange,
i want it now,
not wait six years
for the tree to grow.
so i go to the store
and buy one.
even for a tomato,
the wait
is hard to deal with,
too long.
