he wants to send me medical
equipment,
at no cost to me.
he says he can deliver
freely
braces and straps for my
aching back and knees
a rubber band to pull my
ears back
on windy days.
all he needs besides
the account numbers
is the name of my doctor
and what hospital
he works at.
so i tell him, Dr. Kildaire,
who works with
Nurse Ratchet
at General Hospital.
he writes it all down
and says thank you,
then hangs up.
the equipment should arrive
any day now.
