an ice cream
and wine day.
there's
one for grandmothers
and fathers,
dogs
and cats each have
their own day.
one for sisters
and peanut butter.
in laws
and teachers.
there's one for milk,
one for eggs.
there's one for love
called
Valentine's Day.
but no happily divorced day.
there's one for popcorn
and for
spaghetti.
every month and every
day in that month
has some stupid
thing we're supposed
to recognize
and do something about.
Hallmark is having
a field day
with this insanity.
they're
no longer satisfied with
the basic four
or five,
they've become very greedy,
haven't they?
