again. the birthday is looming
a few weeks
ahead.
i can see it
approaching like tsunami
in the distance.
i've already broken out
in the usual rash
around my
neck.
there is a twitch in
my left eye.
there is a slight tremble
in my hands,
so much depends upon
what i do
next.
what i buy, what
reservations i make,
what flowers
i find.
will the card say the right
things,
will i survive?
