yesterday

i received 57 phone calls

from telemarketers.

mostly from people overseas,

speaking

a foreign language.

today i got only 53.

the last call came in at

10 30 pm.

life insurance,

end of life insurance,

car insurance,

home repair contractors,

Medicare,

time share hotels,

relators and medical

pills and equipment.

sometimes i say hello,

while other times i don't

answer, or quickly hang up.

it doesn't matter what

i do.

it's endless, these calls,

but the love isn't true.
