here on the subway
with
a hundred other passengers,
most heading
down to the U.N. building
to protest,
it occurs to me
why i could never
go to Mars
and be part of a new
human
community.
i look at their signs
and megaphones,
their blue hair
and septum rings
and wonder what has happened
to society?
when did the world
take such a crazy turn.
supporting
terrorists
and communism,
assassins and men dressed
as women.
when did we lose our minds
and support
evil over good.
the devil has stolen their
minds.
