street war

it's disturbing,

the news,

France on fire, London

streets

full of unruly mobs of

disgruntled

youth.

a barrage of gunshots

in Chicago
and LA,

Minnesota fallen.

the whole country seems

to be on edge.

what energy

they have,

these young folks

in their black costumes,

masked

and ready for street war.

you try to recall what

you were

doing at that age,

but

none of this comes to mind.
