keeping beat

when i played

my new

Rolling Stone Album

very loud,

slipping it out of the plastic

and cover

dropping the needle

down,

i'd shake my head around

and turn

a coffee can upside down,

keeping

up with the drums.

but unfortunately

the walls were thin and

it wouldn't be

too long before

my neighbor, Sylvia,

would be banging on the wall.
