and witches
are tethered to the branches.
carved pumpkins
are lit up
with candles.
a rocking chair
creaks
on the porch, mechanically
rocking back and forth
emitting
moans of despair and grief.
enormous
monofilament
spider webs are strung
across the house.
they even dress up in scary
costumes
when kids come to the door.
this year
it's Kamala and Mamdani
handing candy out.
