sticks and slides a needle
into my
purplish
thickened vein,
i look the other way,
i blink,
as i often
do when
it involves pain,
or
the taking
of any liquids from my
body
in an invasive way.
although i do have
a few
friends
of a vampire nature
that i have to watch out
for when
the moon is full.
my pizza garlic breath
helps to keep them
away.
