the tomato plants
i ponder
a garden, maybe,
just maybe i
have gardening skills not
yet discovered,
so i throw a tomato
sliced open
out into the shadowed
back corner
of the yard
where i've raked
the leaves
from last fall.
i wait
for the crop to arrive.

sometimes you want to jump
the tomato plants
life should be better than this
to rise in love
don't be the grey man
eating an orange
what lies ahead
you people will have to wait
someone cut the deck
your day will come, promise
i wish you never told me that
the vague lost years
all these broken parts
she's at the top of the hill
waiting on the mushroom clouds
the gum shoe dilemma
Pray without ceasing
digging through the trash
beauty over brains
the catch and release program
take a look at this big salad
i feel so much better now
you only live once
The President's Visit to China
the May December wedding
no longer a work in progress
The Burberry Shirt
the slippery meaning of life
the party lights behind you
the family grapevine
the party after the funeral
related by blood only
new borrowed shoes
fashion sense
whitman's sampler
chat gpt
the Virginia Supreme Court
the common sense Mayor of LA
what Dorothy Parker might say after a few drinks a...
things go missing
the blue grass
please, go away, i'm good
she's still there
the collected poems
i'm walking here
the hum of the night light
a deli slice of moon
their wedding day
all is well, nothing to see here
license, insurance and registration, please
all grown up now
you ain't nowhere mister
the light on the other side
you enter a room and find a chair
the long way around
stopping by to say hello
see you on Friday
get a job
the wedding album
skinny dipping in the roof top pool
the fat man and his tuba
i'm still here
kissing in Iowa
Noah's rain
the basement
cancel my subscription
black and white
the once Golden State
from nothing
rose colored glasses
i'm here but not here
high gas prices versus a nuclear holocaust
all the things i don't need or want
this was not my idea
this is all temporary right?
ah sugar sugar
the Sovereign Citizen
defying the laws of physics
coffee and books
swipe right for true love on Bumble
the delusion of everyone being old but you
the red thumb
the white flags
Dinner Theater roast beef
cold hard cash
pulling us to shore
the smiling masks
few surprise endings
protein carbs and starch, please
the night shift
a shard of glass
a drawer full of cell phones
stress cracks
full grown and marching
the red light district
sticky notes
helping someone out on moving day
summertime and the living is easy
whoops, i was off by thirty million
the May Day protests
