stuck to my shoe
reminds
me of you. no matter how hard
i try to scrape
it away,
there's always more
stuck
between the treads,
hardened
and grey.
i didn't see you lying
there all pink
and pretty
on the hot pavement,
then stepped right into it.
time for
new shoes.
