get a job

it doesn't
matter what the job is.
there is
no shame in it.
it's work.
it's getting up and doing
something
with your life,
crawling out
of bed when it's cold,
when it's
raining,
when there's snow on
the ground.
it doesn't matter what
it is.
whether you're holding
a pen
or a shovel,
or sitting in a truck
moving
gravel,
or stuck in a cubicle.
carry the coffee and plate
of eggs
to another table.
don't worry about it.
work.
get out of your mother's
basement,
cut the apron strings and
go to work.
