beyond that

church attendance,

repeating
prayer after learned prayer.

or rote,
or communion, or
singing. it's beyond all
the trappings

the pews, the altar,
the rosary,
the cross hung
in the air.
all these things are fine
and necessary
for some, or many, but
it's within. it's deeper
than all that.
it's emptying your soul,
confessing,
repenting,
forgiving.
accepting, believing
that all things work
together for good
to those that love God.
this will make you whole.
