we used to write letters.
sit down
at a desk with a pen
and paper
and write out our thoughts
in long hand.
we took our time.
we rambled, we explored,
we stopped
and waited to hear what
was on our mind.
we wrote letters to one
another, folded them
into envelope. put a stamp
in the corner and off
they went into the wild.
we put x's and o's at
the end.
we wrote things like, i
miss you. i love you.
can't wait to see you
again.
