like
you've had nine or so different
lives.
not unlike
the proverbial
cat.
living in different houses,
apartments,
being in love,
being out.
moving and shuffling
your feet
in the sand.
finding
different ways to make
a living,
carrying your
possessions with you as
once again land
at the next stop,
wondering
where and when it will be
the last one,
pulling the line on the train
to get off.
