power outage

the power goes out.
but we are not lost
in the dark.
there's no electricity
no force
to light our lights,
but we will survive.
we have each other to lean
on, to get
to where we need to go.
whether day, or night.
we have legs
and arms, voices.
lips and hearts to move
us to where we need to go.
who needs lights?
it's within us.
