how everyone looked the same
in this four
star restaurant.
the women in shoulder
length blonde
hair.
wearing similar clothes.
it seemed they all
went to the same
cosmetic surgeon,
the same
make up counter.
they talked the same,
gestured the same,
all of them throwing
their hands into hair
to show off
their rings when they laughed
with vague reason.
and the men.
in t-shirts and jeans,
no socks and boat shoes,
waiting it out,
waiting for the check
to come.
