but it's the only analogy i can
think of at the moment.

as i type this, i'm sure.
but when i hear
people say,
i write poetry too, it's like
me saying to a five
star michelin chef
that i like to cook too.
i'm not saying that i'm
five star, or one star,
hell, i might just be a
yellow sun fading
in some far away galaxy.
it's just that i cringe when
someone hands me
a sheathe of their own
freshly cooked
plate of poems, and asks
me to read and taste
a few.
