memorizing
the curve of her arm,
the feel of her soft skin
against mine after making love.
i tried hard
to capture what it was,
what it wasn't and never would
be,
but that moment was enough.
a picture in my mind, saved
and folded into the album
of what i called my life
at the time, before
the next one began.
