we need prizes, ribbons
and gold
stars,
awards.
we need recognition for
the work
we've done,
something to shine
a light
on our accomplishments,
a statue
of some sort,
a trophy to put on the mantle.
it's what we
do as humans.
we want to be seen as
winners,
even us losers
do.
