but at some point

the resurrection of Christ,
savior of the world,

rising three

days after his death

on the cross,

got mixed

up with chocolate

bunny rabbits,

jellybeans

and colored eggs,

all placed in a cellophane

covered basket

for Easter morning.

i'm eating my third

sugary

yellow peep now

as i ponder

the mystery.
