there are things you say

to yourself now that you would

never say when

you were twenty years old.

such as,

these shoes are very comfortable,

i think they'll be

great for walking

to the lake to feed the ducks,

or this room has great

lighting.

i can see a chair over there

near the window

to sit and read in.

so nice and dark, a perfect spot

for an afternoon nap.
