and scrub with soap
and a bristle brush,
a clean
cloth, putting muscle
into the stain,
but with no luck.
i try every
spray beneath the sink.
is there a reason
to have a yellow couch
in front of the tv?
there will be hell to pay,
when the wife
returns
with her mother in tow.
it will be another trial
without a jury,
all over
again.
