obviously

i don't let world politics

interfere

with my culinary

choices.

last night i had Chinese

food,

General Tao chicken,

and a Mai Tai.

and today,

i'm crossing the border

down south,

with a plate

of enchiladas

with beans and rice.

tomorrow i might do down

to the Russian Tea Room

for a bite,

or pour

some Canadian maple

syrup onto

my pancakes,

with sausages from Venezuela,

then smoke

a cigar from Cuba,
