it seems
like
just yesterday
that i purchased two books
from
the man
at the post office.
one book
was for Christmas.
trees and elves,
reindeer
and snow.
the other book was
for inventors.
Guttenberg,
Edison and Franklin.
Madame Curie
and Einstein.
i'd love to see a book
of stamps
proclaiming the virtues
and the likes
of Marilyn Monroe.
