as i get in shape
for the beach season.

when i step aboard.
it jokes,
saying things like, please,

at a time.
or have you no self
control
with cake and pie?
less lettuce and more meat,
it'll say
when i'm too thin.
or stand up straight,
and take your shoes off,
and take
those rocks out
of your pocket.
i'm working here.
get on naked, it's okay,
i won't laugh, or
you may need a little more
fiber in your diet.
lay off the wine,
your shaking me inside.
