kiss mary

from an aerial view

everything is small. the houses,
the buildings.

the bridges. mere toys,
sticks
across water.

the cars, bugs crawling across
the curve
of the blue earth

into
the ant farms that we live in.

insects from high above.
even our
issues.

our problems seem small
from the heavens.

our troubles seem insignificant
compared
to the vast universe
beyond.

whether money, or love,
death.

all of this will pass, and
even the universe
itself will one day run out of steam,

collapse.

so why worry. why be bothered.
eat drink, find someone named
mary

and kiss her.

it's all relatively
small stuff.

I guess.
