maybe this will
make people better, make
people
more compassionate and kind,
helping one
another,
maybe they'll see the light
now
and change
their ways,
stop lying and abusing,
betraying
one another,
finally getting their lives
straight.
no. it's not going to happen.
people rarely
change.
they may pray for a
while in
the fox hole,
making vows they'll never keep,
but it's business as usual
once the shooting
ends.
