of the world is a resounding
whisper
of what now.
what's next.
how's the script going to be
written,
played out.
who lives, who dies.
is there a hero
a protagonist, a villain?
does the plot thicken
or
does it end,
is there more
to the mystery, or
does it fade away
with a whimper, with hardly
a bow?

Love "the quiet of the world is a resounding whisper" (of course not crazy about the line breaks. I think you lose some of the power of the words/ image when you fall back on that short line. do love the juxtaposition of "resounding" with "whisper."
