it's a Van Gogh
kind of
dusk,
the clouds in a blue
grey
swirl.
the stars coming
out in
vague clusters.
you can see the arm moving
in small
sweeps
of his brush.
the bandaged ear,
bundled in the cold
before his
canvas,
the broken heart. stranded
in his
unrequited love.
