why is everyone,
well not everyone but so many
people
fat
broke and busy.
working all hours, staring
into their phones
incessantly for every answer
to every questioned proposed.
sugar is the new drug.
eat, sleep, work, work, work.
rinse and repeat.
is anyone having fun.
anyone reading
books,
writing, singing,
or just racing around like rats
in a maze,
smelling the cheese at the end
of a mythical
rainbow,
but getting
none.
