bag of tricks.
ask the pope,
he has one.
the salesman,
the neighbor, the wife.
the child
in the other room.
we're all in the game
one way or another.
we reach into our bag
each
day after day,
to pay, to bribe,
to keep
our lives safe.
this is how we survive.
the bag of tricks,
if you don't have one,
well,
you'll never
stay alive.
