you know what you like,
stick
with it,
don't wander off into
Ethiopian food,
or decide
to hang glide,
or parachute from a plane.

and orange are not
your colors.
you're a feet
on the ground
kind of person,
no wrestling of sharks,
no crazy
climbs up Mt. Everest.
you like
your goldfish
bowl,
the clear water
filled with light
where nothing ever changes.
just sprinkle in a little
food
when it's time.
