it's all clear for now
you
know things.
it's all clear, for now.
everything
is understood.
there is rhyme and reason
to
the past,
the present and the future.
but how
swiftly
the fog moves in
and you're
lost again.

April
(131)
the happy click of the keyboard
what lies below
it's all clear for now
suddenly all is green
chicken and fries wafting in
Rosie and Red wine
luggage by the door
Moon River
it all feels familiar
the long elevator ride
the umpteenth time
another face in the crowd
the uncomfortable chairs
a fat red tomato
we hate you, but here's a million bucks to stir up...
ashes to ashes, too bad for you
doing the math for life expectancy
there are good people after all
more crazy left wing shenanigans
i've made worse mistakes
driving five miles to get cheaper gas
the years remove little
cave man drawings
clearing out the monogrammed towels, etc.
so what's the skinny on her now?
the long black hair on the pillow
mentally retired
women love cheese
the lack of mental institutions
held down by leather straps
the falling price of heavy cream
quit whining and go home
Virginia
jumping for joy
the apple temptation
Bob was less judgmental
the long black snake
walking on eggshells everyday
little green men, etc.
making a heart
the trampoline
music from a window
a flurry of thumbs
Farrah's red bathing suit poster
how's the weather in your state, Mrs. Wilson
i need you to do something for me
you can't lose what you never had
the call of the wild
tired, paranoid, and hungry
jumping off the high dive
before the kids jump in
you can't make this stuff up
leaving it all behind
the yellow school bus
maybe you need a hobby
who's knocking at the door?
Father Smith eating a hot dog at 7-11
can't stop what's coming
the cruelty of brothers and sisters
no twisting in the wind
his hand in the cookie jar
at some point it all goes boom
dogs know
people on the inside
walking the fence
the park paparazzi
new to this world
they're serving lunch now
a loaf of gold
a mysterious white van
temporary diamonds
the Swanson tv dinner
let it be
the monthly updates
a body on the ground
between screen and window
she saved it just the same
another game, perhaps
your comfort zone
becoming the ostrich
the Oz you promised me
so many moving parts
what love could look like
i can't wait to get home
dad in a box
check in with my assistant
don't be white
short ride to Lincoln Center
that's why i like you
teaching my doctor
soon goes
your summer skin
it's over, it's not over, rinse and repeat
impatient
what do you want now?
a bucket of fried chicken
man's best friend
breaking down a fifty
some like war
living large at the dentist office
