reveals
much about a child
and how
he or she
may turn out.
the aggressive ones,
running wild,
swinging their arms
at bushes,
turning over
rocks
and boards, digging
behind
the shed,
climbing trees
as they yell.
there are those children,
and then
the other ones.
a quiet few,
carefully
bending over to find
a single egg,
hidden between
tall blades of grass,
dyed blue.
