looking
for something else,
she
finds
the card you
sent
so long ago.
the early
writing of youth,
the unbridled
sentiment.
the x's and o's,
the heartfelt
wishes
for
forever
in a poem.
she folds it closed
after
reading,
then proceeds
to look
further for what was
her
original intent.
