the endless list of movies
and shows,
searching
for something i haven't
seen before,
i realize how much
time i've wasted
sitting on
this couch
the days and nights
i've wiled
away staring
at the television,
clicking and binging on
what's next.
i could have become
a surgeon in this same
amount of time,
a pilot, a geologist.
i could have grown
a field of grapes
and made wine.
the entire work
of Shakespeare could
have been read
and enlightened
my lazy mind.
