about the amount
of money
being stolen
from taxpayers.
billions, year after year.
the fraud,
the schemes, the outright
piracy
of funds
earmarked
for good causes.
they don't even try to hide
it.
the cars,
the houses, the bank
accounts full,
the suitcases stuffed with cash
carried to foreign shores.
how stupid are we,
how dumb
is our government
down to the local level.
from the sheriff, the mayor,
the governor,
the woman working
at the DMV.
everyone is getting a slice,
a large
piece.
