are people so surprised

that

they get shot

after they

run the police over

with a car,

or hit them

with a shovel, or throw

a frozen bottle

of water

at their heads,

or attack them

violently

in some lunatic fashion?

don't they know that

the police

have guns,

and mace,

Billy clubs, 

and are sworn

to uphold

the laws of land?

have they lost their minds?

don't they

have a life

to lead

beyond being part

of a crazy mob

in the street?
