the blue house on the corner

after brushing on six gallons
of midnight navy blue,
it's a blue
house on the corner, you can't miss
it.
with gold shutters
and white trim.
there's little yard, some grass.
a bush
a tree that
bends.
but it's a bright house
now.
hard to not see.
parking is difficult, but you
can't miss it.
it's blue as blue can be.
the neighbors aren't happy
about it.
but too bad.
they can go inside and not
look out,
if it bothers them.
