it happens.
but it's temporary.
think of the sun coming
out for one minute
on a rainy day.
confession,
communion.
toss some money into the trough.
it feels good to get
clean.
it lasts a few days, this sanctity,
but it can't be sustained.
maybe a week, or less,
but being human is hard,
in no time
it's back
to the life she'll
never leave.
