the warm
wind wraps around us at this beach.
this long
white shore.
kissed
by the sun. drinking the blue sea
as it rolls
upon our stretched legs.
we realize that
we have most of our lives
behind us.
but feel that the best is
yet to come.
we are survivors.
we learn from our mistakes,
we leave
the weight of pain
behind. we go on.
we are never never done.
